Doylestown Kitchen Remodel
DESIGN CONCEPT
This family wanted to update their kitchen to allow for better flow and increased functionality. The original kitchen was also dated and needed a fresh new look to align with the family’s style.
ORIGINAL FLOOR PLAN
In the original floor plan, the kitchen was located right between the dining room and living room. The family wanted to keep the kitchen and dining area connected but separate it more from the living room to create its own, modernized space.NEW FLOOR PLAN
The new floor plan removed the old closet pantry and added a wall behind the stove to separate the space from the living room. To create better flow, we framed the refrigerator with cabinetry and added storage. We included a larger island with a prep sink and additional seating for the family.
FINISHES
The flooring throughout the kitchen and dining room is reclaimed pumpkin pine flooring, which creates a rustic farmhouse feel. The kitchen also features matte black hardware and fixtures, a white farmhouse sink, and stainless-steel appliances.
CABINETS
This kitchen’s perimeter and island cabinetry is made by Legacy Handcrafted with an Avalon door style in the color “Anew Grey.”
TILE & STONE
The perimeter and island countertops are Calacatta natural marble that accentuates the clean, farmhouse style of the space. The backsplash is Daltile’s Remedy style in the color “Elixir.”
