Jamison Master Bath Remodel

DESIGN CONCEPT

This couple wanted a bathroom remodel that eliminated their outdated, oversized tub and created a larger, more efficient master bath. The old tub, with its dated tiling, not only detracted from the bathroom’s aesthetics but also dominated over half of the available space. The redesigned bathroom embodies a harmonious blend of modern elegance, efficient functionality, improved lighting, and spaciousness.

ORIGINAL FLOOR PLAN

In the original floor plan, the tub occupied over half of the bathroom area. A minimal walkway space and a knee wall separating the toilet from the room but offered limited privacy. These elements significantly hampered the functionality of the space and made the room feel cramped, despite its large size.

NEW FLOOR PLAN

This new floor plan maximizes space by replacing the oversized tub with a larger, ADA-compliant shower. We eliminated the knee wall, which only gave an illusion of privacy, and created a seamless pathway directly to the shower. Removing the tub allowed us to install a two-tier shelving system, Jack and Jill sinks, and double the number of lighting fixtures. These changes not only brightened the space but also doubled its storage capacity.

FINISHES

Our client requested a timeless traditional bathroom featuring neutral tones. We created this look by blending stainless steel fixtures with geometric gold marble tiling.

CABINETS

Origami Wellborn White cabinets complement the wainscot paneling and accentuate the crystal-end hardware. Additional cabinetry and dual basins maximized storage and created a discreet area for toiletries, ensuring a consistently tidy space.

TILE & STONE

The shower’s focal point is an Athena Gold Geometrica mosaic tile from MSI. It adorns the accent wall and niche and creates a stunning visual impact. The sink countertops and shower bench seat are Perla White Quartz, which is strong and resilient. The flooring features Sterlina Matte Esmer tiles that capture the timeless elegance of marble but includes a hint of concrete’s modern touch.
