Radnor Carriage House Renovation

DESIGN CONCEPT

The Radnor Carriage House restoration project aimed to preserve the character and history of the original structure while introducing modern functionality and comfort. Emphasis was placed on maintaining architectural integrity, blending old-world charm with contemporary features.

ORIGINAL FLOOR PLAN

The original layout of the carriage house featured compartmentalized rooms with limited natural light and outdated finishes, which made the space feel cramped and less functional.

NEW FLOOR PLAN

The redesigned floor plan opens up the space, creating a more fluid and accessible layout. This includes maximizing natural light, expanding room dimensions where possible, and adding modern amenities for improved functionality.

FINISHES

The finishes are carefully selected to complement the historic essence of the carriage house, including custom woodwork, period-appropriate fixtures, and a neutral palette that balances warmth and elegance.

CABINETS

Custom cabinetry with a vintage feel was incorporated, blending seamlessly with the character of the home while providing ample storage and modern functionality.

TILE & STONE

Tile and stone materials were chosen to reflect a timeless aesthetic. These selections enhance the historic ambiance of the space, with intricate tiling and stone surfaces that are both durable and visually cohesive with the overall design.
