Pipersville Master Bathroom Remodel

DESIGN CONCEPT

This primary bathroom renovation was designed to transform a dark and dated space into a bright, modern retreat with an atmosphere of calm sophistication. The new design celebrates movement and contrast, pairing the natural fluidity of blue-gray marble-inspired tile with crisp white quartz surfaces and rich navy cabinetry. Polished chrome fixtures and clear glass elements reflect natural light throughout the room, while clean architectural lines and thoughtful material layering create a timeless yet contemporary aesthetic. The goal was to achieve a spa-like balance between luxury and functionality, allowing every surface and fixture to contribute to a cohesive visual flow.

ORIGINAL FLOOR PLAN

The original layout featured a large corner bathtub, a small enclosed shower, and a single vanity with limited storage and counter space. The room felt heavy and closed-in due to dark finishes and insufficient lighting. Circulation was awkward, and the layout failed to take advantage of the available square footage. The client desired a more open, functional plan with dual sinks, an expanded shower, and brighter finishes that would make the space feel refreshed and unified.

NEW FLOOR PLAN

The new design completely reimagines the footprint. The oversized tub was removed to make room for a spacious walk-in shower with a built-in bench, dual niches, and frameless glass walls that open up the space visually. A new double vanity anchors the room, providing ample storage and symmetry beneath twin framed mirrors. Updated lighting, a heated towel bar, and integrated outlet drawers enhance functionality without clutter. The layout maintains the existing toilet location but optimizes every other zone for efficiency, balance, and light reflection.

CABINETS

The custom double vanity features solid wood construction with a wide-rail shaker profile, finished in a deep navy hue that adds contrast against the light walls and countertop. Drawers are full-overlay for a clean, contemporary look, and the central docking drawer includes integrated power for styling tools and device charging. Polished chrome hardware enhances the crisp aesthetic, tying in with the plumbing and lighting fixtures for a cohesive finish.

TILE AND STONE

The tile composition was chosen to evoke natural movement while keeping the overall aesthetic serene. Large-format porcelain panels on the shower walls create a bold statement with their flowing veining, paired with smaller hexagonal mosaics for the shower floor. The bathroom floor continues in a medium-gray stone look, arranged in a herringbone pattern for visual interest. The quartz surfaces extend across the vanity top, bench seat, and thresholds, bringing unity and refinement to every transition point.

FINISHES

The palette draws from natural coastal tones, combining soft whites, deep navy, and steel-gray hues. The shower walls showcase sweeping marble veining that creates visual movement and depth, complemented by a dark hex mosaic floor for contrast and grip. The main floor tile continues the cool undertone in a matte stone look laid in a herringbone pattern, adding subtle texture. The quartz countertops feature delicate gray veining on a clean white base, uniting the cabinetry and tile with a sense of calm continuity.
